The Nursing Exam
The Nursing exam is designed to test your ability to think critically and to use your nursing knowledge to answer the questions. This means using your nursing knowledge to solve a problem with the best patient outcome. The exam is called a Computer Adaptive Exam, what is means it adapt to your test taking ability. The exam doesn’t test to your strength, it tests to your weakness, and therefore it is important that you are prepared to be successful.
The nursing exam focuses on your ability to use your nursing knowledge to save lives, to make the best judgment, to promote, maintain and prevent harm or ill to the patient/client. You are expected to answer the questions as if it were idea, textbook, and the client in questions is your only patient/client. Therefore use your nursing knowledge and your test taking techniques to answer the each questions.
Based on the test plans, each unique NCLEX-RN® and NCLEX-PN® examination reflects the knowledge, skills and abilities essential for the prospective registered and licensed practical/vocational nurse to meet the needs of clients requiring the promotion, maintenance and restoration of health.
